7 Reasons to go to Summer Camp

By Brittany Flokstra a parent of a happy camper...

He was 10 and I knew he was looking for more than a summer of day care and TV shows. So i wondered if SUMMER CAMP was the right place for my son.

Today, my son is 15 and has attended Swift Nature Camp for, four years and he will return for as long as we can. He loves it. His ADHD seems to be little trouble at camp.

The counselors and directors at SNC have a great, hands-on approach to leadership, social skills development and confidence-building.

Jeff and Lonnie, along with enthusiastic counselors, provide an excellent atmosphere that encourages positive traits to rise to the surface. My son has developed greater peer understanding and empathy, greater self-confidence and trust, better leadership skills, an understanding of group dynamics and fair process and many other valuable lifelong skills.

I felt nervous, like any parent, sending a child to a place that I had never been to before, but it was really worth it! As I talked to Jeff and Lonnie over the phone I realized that the Discovery Camp was best or him and me. A special program for the First Time Going Camp

Their willingness to discuss any question I had and their understanding of my fears made the decision easy. My son took the bus there, but I picked him up at the end, so I got to see first-hand all of the wonderful places he got to explore.

He was so excited about camp that I'm not sure he drew breath on the 8-hour journey home!

I feel the Swift Nature Camp website is extremely through and tells you everything you need to know. I love the way camp is set up. The cabins are by gender and age and do activities together, including laundry and cabin clean up.

Afternoons provide campers the opportunity to select from a variety of typical camp activities (arts & crafts, archery, swimming, and so much more...).

On top of this, the camp is dedicated to environmental awareness and nature preservation. They have a nature center with microscopes and frogs and tadpoles and lots of hands on activities. There is also a small petting zoo of well-adored animals.

Laughter, games, campfires, food, sports, fun, drama, singing, are all what makes this overnight camp experience one my son will remembers for his entire life.

I appreciate that this isn't a "sports camp" or "education camp" or something ultra specific. Its back to traditional being outdoors having fun sort of camp. Kids at SNC get to be kids and by experiencing all sorts of different activities and a diverse set of campers and counselors. They learn more about themselves than at a specialized camp with specific goals.

My son has learned so much from this camp in the four years he has been attending. We have noticed a HUGE difference in his attitude, manners and abilities. He is more mature, pleasant and competent. We would pay any price for the experiences and social education he has gained from SNC.

As parents, we joke tit is easy to find math, reading, or science tutors but know one tutors in social skills. We were wrong! We found exactly what my son needed at exactly the right time in his life.

Should you be thinking about overnight summer camp for your kid, consider Swift. I think it is so successful because it is a non-competitive, confidence-building camp where kids get to be kids. I know it is the best thing we ever did for our son.

I have to give great thanks Jeff, Lonnie and their dedication to children, the fabulous counselors, cooks, nurses, etc. A new goal of his these days is to stay at camp till he can be a counselor. That says a lot about a summer camp!

What To Look For Before You Download Slots

Every day, more and more people become aware of how much fun it is to play online slots. It offers all of the fun and excitement of playing slots in a real casino, but minus the time and expense of making a visit to the nearest gaming establishment. When you download slots, it is even more convenient to play this fun and popular casino game and you can even play during your lunch break; you could even bring your laptop and play slots on the bus or train as you head to work!

Unlike some of the brick and mortar casinos, online casinos never close for the night, meaning that you can play slots whenever it fits into your schedule. You could play while you relax after a day at work or when you have a little time in between social engagements or household chores. Online gaming offers an incredible amount of flexibility, which has made online slots incredibly popular; many even prefer these virtual machines to the genuine article.

So what should you look for in a site you want to download slots from? Many different sites provide these games, but you should make sure that any site you deal with is a reputable business which you can trust. Although it is not terribly common, you might find sites out there which provide downloads which are infected with viruses or packaged with spyware and other nuisances. However, if you choose to download from reputable online gaming sites, then you should not have any problems with your downloads.

Even so, you should look into the reputation of the company before you download anything from them, just as you would with any other site; it is just a matter of common sense and caution. You should also be sure that the site is offering exactly what you want before you download slots from them. You also should make sure that the site will keep your personal information securely and privately.

You may want to avoid playing on or downloading from gaming sites which are new, since you do not have any way of knowing whether or not these sites are run by scrupulous companies. Instead, bookmark this site and come back to it later once it has been around long enough for word to get around the gaming community as to whether this site is a worthwhile place to play or download from.

Another factor to look at is if other people are winning at the slots you are thinking of playing. If they are, you should try to find out how many people are winning and how much money they are getting from it. If these people are winning enough that you would consider these slots worth playing, then by all means, give them a shot!

You should make sure to read plenty of reviews of any gaming site before you download slots from them. Read all the reviews, both negative and positive ones; if the number of negatives is much larger than the number of good reviews, then you are probably better off avoiding this site - if a lot of other players have had bad experiences, it is more than likely you will want to play elsewhere.

The Right CompTIA Networking Training Clarified

By Jason Kendall

The CompTIA A+ training program covers four areas of training; you're considered competent at A+ when you've achieved certifications for half of them. For this reason, it's usual for colleges to only teach 2 specialised areas. In reality it's necessary to have the teaching in all areas as many jobs will ask for knowledge and skills of the entire course. It isn't necessary to complete all 4 certifications, but we would recommend you take tutorials in all 4 subjects.

CompTIA A+ training programs cover fault-finding and diagnostics - both through hands-on and remote access, alongside learning to build, repair and fix and understanding antistatic conditions.

You might also choose to think about supplementing the A+ with Network + as it will enable you to take care of computer networks, and have a more responsible working role.

Being a part of the leading edge of new technology gives you the best job satisfaction ever. Your actions are instrumental in defining the world to come.

We've only just begun to get a feel for how technology will influence everything we do. Computers and the Internet will profoundly alter the way we see and interact with the rest of the world over the years to come.

Should lifestyle be around the top on your scale of wants, you will welcome the news that the usual remuneration for IT employees in general is considerably more than with other market sectors.

With the IT marketplace developing with no sign of a slow-down, the chances are that the requirement for well trained and qualified IT technicians will continue to boom for decades to come.

An area that's often missed by trainees mulling over a new direction is that of 'training segmentation'. This is essentially the breakdown of the materials for delivery to you, which vastly changes how you end up.

Most companies will sell you a program spread over 1-3 years, and send out each piece as you pass each exam. Sounds reasonable? Well consider these facts:

Often, the staged breakdown pushed by the company's salespeople doesn't suit all of us. What if you find it hard to complete all the elements at the speed required?

Put simply, the best option is to obtain their recommendation on the best possible order of study, but get all the study materials at the start. You're then in possession of everything in case you don't finish within their ideal time-table.

Don't accept anything less than authorised exam simulation and preparation programs as part of your course package.

As most IT examination boards are American, it's essential to understand how exam questions will be phrased and formatted. It's not sufficient just understanding random questions - they need to be in the proper exam format.

Why don't you test your depth of understanding by doing quizzes and practice exams prior to taking the actual exam.

It's not uncommon for companies to offer inclusive exam guarantees - inevitably that means paying for the exams at the very beginning of your studies. Before you get carried away with the chance of a guarantee, think about this:

You'll pay for it one way or another. It's definitely not free - it's just been rolled into the price of the whole package.

It's well known in the industry that when students fund each progressive exam, one by one, they will be much more likely to get through on the first attempt - as they'll think of their payment and their application will be greater.

Isn't it outrageous to have to pay a college in advance for examinations? Find the best exam deal or offer at the time, don't pay mark-ups - and sit exams more locally - rather than in some remote place.

Paying upfront for examinations (plus interest - if you're financing your study) is madness. Resist being talked into filling the training company's account with extra money of yours simply to help their cash-flow! Some will be pinning their hopes on the fact that you won't get to do them all - but they won't refund the cash.

Also, 'Exam Guarantees' often aren't worth the paper they're written on. Many training companies will not pay again for an exam until you have demonstrated conclusively that you won't fail again.

Spending hundreds or even thousands extra on 'Exam Guarantees' is short-sighted - when hard work, commitment and the right preparation via exam simulations is what will really see you through.

Halloween Crafts Toddler

By Russ D. Edwards

If you've got a tiny one but still wish to be ready to create crafts with them, there are some great toddler Halloween crafts that are straightforward to do and let you bond with your baby as you teach them valuable skills that they can take with them to faculty. Child Halloween crafts need to straightforward enough for tiny fingers to handle. Otherwise, they're liable to get pissed off. You may want to work closely with your child when making Halloween crafts, and above all, use patience and let them create their own masterpieces. The craft will not be perfect, but it'll definitely be theirs!

One of our favourite toddler Halloween crafts is to make handprint spiders. All that you need is a paper plate and some water-soluble black paint. Decant the paint into a pan or on a separate paper plate. Have your child place their hand flat into the paint. They are going to love this, by the way! Make sure the complete hand is covered with paint, but be careful not to let it be too loopy? Press your child's hand firmly on the paper plate just above the middle of the plate making sure that their fingers are splayed out. Turn the plate over so that the hand print is on the bottom and reapply the paint to your youngster's hand. Ensuring the heel of the palm matches up with the one that is already there ; press the hand down like you did the 1st time. Let the paint dry and then glue on googly eyes. Punch a hole in the top of the plate and hang proudly from wherever you like!

Another of the toddler Halloween crafts we like is pumpkin seed wreaths. After you're carved your pumpkin, save the seeds and wash them off totally. You may want to roast a number of these in a low range sprinkled with salt for a yummy treat! At any rate, after the pumpkin seeds have dried absolutely, take a round piece of orange construction paper and have your baby glue the pumpkin seeds all around the outside of the circle with the pointed end facing out. Make a second row inside the 1st row. You can fill the middle with any sort of Halloween decoration you want. Make a hag out of fun foam, glue candy corn, or anything else your imagination can come up with.

Scour the internet to your heart's wish and find all kinds of toddler Halloween crafts you can make with your young one.

Have some fun and make sure that they know that there is not any such thing as a perfect craft and merely a fun one!
